The College of Communications & Information Studies is the communications school at the University of Kentucky. The College offers the following undergraduate majors: Communication, Integrated Strategic Communication, Journalism, and Telecommunications.[1] Graduate programs are offered in Communication and Library Science.[2] The College has over 1,200 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students pursuing Master's and Ph.D. degrees. The College is one of the fastest growing at UK and has one of the highest levels of extramural research funding at the university.[3]

The Grehan Journalism Building is home to the College's undergraduate departments, the School of Journalism and Telecommunications and the Department of Communication. The University of Kentucky's independent daily student newspaper The Kentucky Kernel also operates out of the building. Grehan also is home to the broadcast student newsroom where students produce a live newscast four days a week every week.

The College of Communications & Information Studies features 5 departments, created by the merger of the College of Communications with the College of Library and Information Science.[4]
